Fall 2022
The Department of Transnational Asian Studies offers a comprehensive selection of courses designed to give our undergraduates an overview of the geography, history, people and their movements, and cultures of Asia. Many of our courses are also cross-listed with other departments and/or offer distribution credit, making our courses strong choices even if you aren't majoring or minoring in Asian Studies.
Did you know that courses not listed as ASIA might still count toward the Asian Studies major and minor? If you are interested in a course covering Asia-related topics being offered in another department, reach out to our Director of Undergraduate Studies, Steven W. Lewis, to have it approved for ASIA credit. Some courses already approved are listed under "Non-ASIA Courses" below.
