Japanese

The Department of Transnational Asian Studies teaches Japanese through the fourth year. The courses guide students to understand the Japanese-speaking culture and society through our focus on language awareness and critical language analysis.

Japanese language courses can count toward the requirements for the Asian Studies major—including both the Transnational Asian Studies and Language concentrations—and fulfill the language requirement for the Linguistics major.
