Beginning on July 1, 2024 students may declare a major in Asian Studies with a major concentration in Asian Languages, including Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. The Department of Transnational Asian Studies offers a comprehensive selection of courses designed to give our undergraduates an overview of the geography, history, people and their movements, and cultures of Asia. Many of our courses are also cross-listed with other departments and/or offer distribution credit, making our courses strong choices even if you aren't majoring or minoring in Asian Studies.
