Founded in 2015, the Rice Asian Studies Organization (RASO) is a student organization that aims to create an outlet for Asian Studies majors and minors to interact with professors as well as connect students across the department. RASO serves as a link between Asian Studies on campus and Asian resources in Houston and seeks to increase visibility of the major and minor as well as provide guidance within them. RASO accepts funding requests from student organizations for initiatives relevant to this mission. Members of RASO also manage the Rice Asian Studies Review (RASR), an undergraduate Asia-focused academic journal authored by Rice undergraduates.
